How to trace DNS in cPanel?

Overview:-

          This function will trace the DNS delegation for a domain name from the Internet DNS root servers down to the DNS servers responsible (authoritative) for the domain. This can be useful to find out if a domain is delegated correctly.

Steps:-

  1. Login to cPanel
  2. In search bar type “Cron jobs”

or go to Advanced section

Click on Trace DNS

Trace DNS consist of two things

  • Domain Lookup
  • Trace Route

Domain Lookup:-

 

Overview:-

The Domain Lookup tool allows you to find out the IP address of any domain, as well as DNS information about that domain.

 Steps:-

  1. Enter the domain that you want to lookup.

and then click on Look up.

After clicking on lookup you will get the details

Trace Route:-

 

Overview:-

            Trace the route that packets take from one destination to another. The trace route here will trace the route that a packet takes from our web server to the destination that you enter. The results display a list of routers traversed (the path taken) for a packet from our web server to reach a particular destination on the network.

 Steps:-

You just need to click on “Trace” and then you will get the route from the computer you are accessing cPanel from to the server your site is on

Working with Softaculous in cPanel.

Softaculous is a commercial script library that automates the installation of commercial and open source web applications to a website. Softaculous scripts are executed from the administration area of a website control panel, typically via an interface tool such as cPanel, Plesk, H-Sphere, ISPmanager, DirectAdmin and InterWorx. By using Softaculous you can install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, Magento etc. within seconds. please do the following step:

  1. Login to cPanel
  2.  In search bar type, softaculous

13. or go to Software section and Click on softaculous apps installer.

you will see the different scripts available in softaculous

34. select script you want to install. lets for example we select Drupal.

45. fill the details as per requirement in each text box like version no.,           protocol, domain, Admin account details, etc.

6. click on install

7. to see your all installation, click on all installation icon.

To remove script in softaculous

  1. go to softaculous apps installer.
  2. All installation.

63. Click on remove (red cross)

4. Select the options as per your choice like remove directory, database, database user then click on remove installation.

75. After clicking on remove installation, pop up menu is appear, just click on ok.

6. After completion of removal you will see following message.
